Dear Homecare Professional:
Thank you for visiting AAHomecare’s website. Here you will find information about some of the critical issues facing providers and consumers of essential home medical equipment, supplies, and services such as oxygen therapy, wheelchairs, diabetic supplies, hospital beds, and other durable medical equipment.
AAHomecare provides you with a community of support.
The American Association for Homecare helps members succeed in many ways. We fight for Medicare policies that protect patient access to quality home medical equipment and services. We influence the regulations that affect the daily operations and the bottom line of homecare providers. We advocate for greater recognition of cost-effective, patient-preferred, clinically proven care that can be provided in the comfort of home.
As a member of the Association, you can get involved and stay informed in a number of ways. You can:
- Shape policy by serving on a member advisory council within the Association.
- Consult with Association staff on regulatory, legislative, and communication issues.
- Enjoy discounts for professional development, conferences, the AAHomecare Marketplace, and other services.
- Stay current on HME policy issues through AAHomecare’s frequent Washington Updates.
- Access resources from the member-only sections of the AAHomecare website.
- Fill company vacancies at a discount by posting jobs on the AAHomecare Job Board.
Your Membership Makes a Difference for Homecare
By joining the American Association for Homecare, you support legislative, regulatory, and public relations campaigns that strengthen the home medical equipment community. AAHomecare is your voice on Capitol Hill, at CMS, and in the press. We devote all of our time to HME priorities such as improving policies for mobility, oxygen, and medical supplies and eliminating the misguided bidding program for durable medical equipment. The American Association for Homecare is the organization that policymakers consult when key decisions are made.
It is critical that each company in the homecare sector serves as a grassroots advocate for HME on Capitol Hill. Talk to your members of Congress and let AAHomecare know what is occurring in your community and your company.
Together we can succeed — feel free to contact us by phone at 703-836-6263, or by email at info@aahomecare.org with questions about membership and about how we serve your interests.
Sincerely,
