CRMC (Complex Rehab & Mobility Council)
The CRMC actively works on issues of importance to the standard mobility and Complex Rehab Technology space as well as industry-wide priorities. Through a combined focus on advocacy initiatives (legislative and regulatory) and operational practices, Council members are able to advance mobility priorities that directly impact their daily activities and long-term strategic planning.
Through council-wide discussions and targeted Work Group activities, the Council tackles an impressive workload of Council goals each year while advising the Board of Directors, other AAHomecare Councils, and vested stakeholders on priority needs. The Council also hosts a standing Work Group which focuses exclusively on the retail space.
Recent areas of focus include:
- Support efforts to secure Medicare coverage for power seat elevation and standing systems
- Address repair and service reform initiatives
- Develop position papers and advocacy resources to address CRT and standard mobility issues
And More!
All AAHomecare members are welcome to join the CRMC, which is comprised of a diverse makeup of members spanning the entire country of various sizes, including suppliers, manufacturers, and service support companies. Leading the Council are:
- Chair: Alexis Ward, National Seating and Mobility, San Antonio, TX
- Vice Chair: Seth Johnson, Pride Mobility Products, Exeter, PA
The council meets bimonthly via phone and in person at major industry events like Medtrade. Any AAHomecare member who is interested in becoming a member of the CRMC should contact Ashley Plauché, AAHomecare’s Director of Member & Public Relations, for more information.
