H.R. 6490 – The Medicare DMEPOS Market Pricing Program Act of 2012

The bill that will fix Medicare's bidding program.

H.R. 6490, a bipartisan bill to fix Medicare's DME bidding program by enacting the sustainable market pricing program (MPP), was introduced on Sept. 21, 2012 by Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga) and gained 87 co-sponsors in just a few months' time.

However, the 112th Congress failed to take up the legislation before finishing work on Jan. 2, 2013.  You can see resources related H.R. 6490 below.

AAHomecare will continue to advocate for legislation to repair or replace the current bidding program for home medical equipment in the newly-convened 113th Congress.  Please see the Market Pricing Program and Competitive Bidding sections for future updates on this issue.
