Retail Work Group

AAHomecare’s Retail Work Group focuses on how the HME Industry can better connect with target markets and meet customer needs and desires beyond the barriers of insurance.

With 10,000 boomers turning 65 every day, a shift is happening in the HME marketplace.  A stark contrast from the generation before them, this demographic is interested in finding solutions that enable them to maintain the lifestyle and independence they love—and they aren’t afraid to pay for it.  Uninhibited by the boundaries of insurance, boomers are looking for HME and services built to meet their needs and desires, not the HCPCS code.

The Retail Work Group meets monthly to discuss major themes of retail.  The 2021 schedule includes a mix of panel discussions, expert guests, and Work Group projects.  Work Group meetings enable members to learn from one another and adopt best practices and strategies to strengthen their business and engage with customers in meaningful ways.
